MAS offers a variety of backcountry skiing and snowboarding programs at the Bear Valley Mountain Resort (aka - "sidecountry"). Utilizing the ski areas "soft boundaries", MAS is able to exit the resort in search of pristine and untracked snow. These programs are open to advanced skiers and snowboarders and require advanced reservations. Let MAS show you the goods! |

 "Out of Bounds" Orientation Clinic |

Learn more about the exciting "Out Of Bounds" skiing opportunities at Bear Valley Mountain Resort (BVMR) during this intensive 3-hour clinic. The morning begins with a quick overview of the ski area boundaries, including historical hazards. Then we head outside to practice avalanche rescue skills including the use of beacons, probes and shovels. In addition backcountry skiing & riding techniques will be discussed and practiced while touring the resort to visit a variety of the "Out-Of-Bounds" areas.

| Bear Tracker Snowcat Tours |

MAS is excited to offer this new experience at the Bear Valley Mountain Resort for advanced and expert skiers and riders. We'll transport a select few to untouched terrain, serving up some of the best snow conditions on the mountain. Participants can expect 2-3 600 vertical foot runs per tour. These programs are offered as conditions permit so if its snowing, check back as we will likely being offering a tour. In addition, spring corn tours will also be offered as conditions allow. |

| These programs aim for backcountry terrain utilizing the "soft boundaries" at the Bear Valley Mountain Resort. MAS guides will lead small groups to the best snow and slopes for the day. Some limited hiking may be required and MAS will let you know ahead of time is this looks to be the case. If so, MAS will provide touring gear as needed. Overall participants can expect a fast-paced and exhilarating day making fresh tracks. |  |
